This blog post is long overdue but I had to share some of the beautiful images from Sonia and Liju’s spring wedding! Sonia and Liju are one of the sweetest couples I’ve met. We had a blast shooting their Chicago engagement session and I couldn’t wait to photograph them again.

They incorporated some meaningful Indian wedding traditions into their ceremony which was held at the gorgeous Alice Millar Chapel located right on the Northwestern University campus in Evanston. Check out all of the fun colors and details from this wedding!

After they got ready their pastor said a blessing for each one of them before they headed off to the ceremony.

This is the part of the ceremony where the groom ties a thread with a gold emblem onto the bride and then covers her with a saree to symbolize that he will always protect her.
